What does ‘green interior design’ mean?

Green or sustainable design is a concept that manifests itself in the following ways:

Who can benefit from green design?

Kat Robbins Interiors wants to work with everybody. You don’t have to drive a VW bus that runs on reclaimed cooking oil to benefit from green design. Even the tiniest design choice, when made with an understanding of its implications, can improve your life and the lives of others. This is our goal, to help you design a home that fits YOUR lifestyle, improves your indoor air quality, saves you money, and keeps our planet thriving.

What is your aesthetic?

We love everything that is beautiful and well designed! From mid-century modern to French antiques and everything in between, we see the elegance and artistry in diverse styles. We take the view that every style works when the owner is connected to his or her belongings in a meaningful way. Choosing deliberately and with awareness, we collaborate with our clients to put together an interior that reflects their individual aesthetic, not ours.

Can I see a portfolio of your work?

We are happy to provide pictures of past projects in person. A 20 minute free consultation is available to potential clients. The designer/client relationship is an intimate one and you should feel comfortable that we are a good fit before going forward with any project. When we collaborate to design your home’s interior, we are dealing with not only mere fabrics, finishes and furniture, but the very core of what home means: safety, comfort, utility, connection and love.

Referrals and photos of work are provided upon request. Some of our happy customers have even opened up their homes for a visit to allow a closer look at our work together and the results.
